Delete your Chalkboard account

You can delete your Chalkboard account, and all of the data in it, at any time. This works the same in the Chalkboard apps for iOS and Android and in the web app.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open Chalkboard on your phone, or go to chalk-board.app/athletehub, and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Delete account at the bottom of the page.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm. Your account is deleted straight away and you're signed out.

This can't be undone. If you want to use Chalkboard again later, you'll need a new account.

Cancel Chalkboard Pro first

Deleting your account doesn't cancel a Pro subscription, because Apple or Google bills it. To stop future payments, cancel in the store before you delete your account:

  • iPhone: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Chalkboard.
  • Android: open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Chalkboard.

What gets deleted

  • Your account: email address and password
  • Your profile: username, name, avatar, home gym, grades, bio, Instagram handle, location, and any height, weight, ape index or date of birth you added
  • All of your training data: climbing and strength sessions, notes, templates, training plan progress, hangboard and campus results, stats, and your spray walls, problems and attempts
  • Your photos and videos: session photos, spray wall photos, Community post photos and videos, and your avatar
  • Your social content: friends, crew memberships, crew chat messages, Community posts and comments, and direct messages
  • Your push notification tokens and your subscription status record

How long it takes

Your account and data are removed from our live systems as soon as you confirm. Copies can remain in encrypted database backups for up to 30 days, after which those backups are overwritten.

What isn't deleted

  • Records of your purchases held by Apple and Google, which they keep under their own policies. We never have your payment details.
  • If you also joined the mobile launch list on this website, that email address is stored separately. Ask us at support@chalk-board.app to remove it.

If you can't sign in

First try resetting your password with the Forgot password link on the sign-in screen. If that doesn't work, or you no longer have access to the account:

  1. Email support@chalk-board.app from the email address on your Chalkboard account, with the subject "Delete my Chalkboard account".
  2. We'll reply to that address to confirm the request came from you.
  3. Once confirmed, we'll delete your account and all of its data within 30 days and email you when it's done.

We can only act on requests sent from the account's email address, to stop anyone else deleting your account. For more about how we handle data, read our privacy policy.
